Public Service Broadcasting

In the UK we have something called PSB, this relates to broadcasting that is for us the public, and not purely for advertising and comercial purposes.

The communications regulator Ofcom, requires that certain television and radio broadcasters fulfil certain requirements as part of their licence to broadcast.

All of the BBC networks can do PSB and also regional channel 3 companies can too.

These mean that the companies don't necessarily get much money for the broadcasts, kind of like what we are currently doing but if we needed money to fund out shows we wouldn't want to do PSB.
